Bargain Shopping...my latest hobby!
I was reading some one's blog a few weeks ago and she said that if you are paying anything for toothpaste or other household items, then you are paying too much. I decided to see how little I could pay for things like that and found that if you cut coupons and plan it out you can save a ton of money. I have only tried it a couple of times but today I went to CVS and here is what I got. Before coupons, sales and ECBs, the total would have been $101.71 but I paid $20.38, got $16 more ECBs to use next time and have a $1.50 rebate to send in so after all that it is like spending $2.88 (of which $1.99 was a pack of stickers for Olivia to keep her happy). I am pretty motivated to keep this up. It is kind of a fun challenge to see how little you can spend. If you want to give it a try, go on over to www.moneysavingmom.com and she tells you how to do it. Have fun!

CVS can be very addictive--if I paid better attention to sales and coupons, I am sure I could save more money! Thanks for the inspiration. By the way, the blog looks great! Did you design it yourself? The kids' pics are beautiful--I am hoping to get Marsha to take our pictures soon.
